Movie Buffs meet on the last Tuesday of each month from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. for a lively discussion of the ‘film of the month’, which members watch in advance on their own. Meetings are held at a local coffee shop (participants buy their own). The club explores a wide range of acclaimed films—both fiction and documentaries—that have received major awards (such as the Oscars or European/national honors) or made a significant cultural impact.
